I liked this book a lot. Its a story about a werewolf who is in the dark about herself and when the time came for her to shift she had to deal with a lot of things. Her uncle came to visit out of the blue, she had no prior knowledge of her father's family. Things seemed quite complicated and she was confused about whom to trust or not to trust. And then there were the killings. police ruled it as animal attacks but was that all? Or was there more to the story?
She had a normal teenage life. Mean girls tormenting her and a cute guy she was crushing on. Life wasn't easy as it was but then things got even worse. She was to lead an army of werewolves to fight demons and she was so not ready for that....
This book intrigued me from the very beginning. I loved reading about Grazi and her life. All the supporting characters were well written as well. As book one its clearly a "build up" to the main plot so the story leaves a lot of unanswered questions. But there was no frustrating cliff hanger so people like me can enjoy it (I just don't like cliff hanger).
I will recommend this book to any paranormal fiction's fan. Its worth a read!!

Wolf Moon A Grazi Kelly Novel eBook CD Gorri Tammy Payne Book Nook Nuts Reviews

I so like this series. I read Book 4.5 before I read this book 1. So now I get to see where everything started. Reading 15 yr old Grazi aka Maria change into her wolf for the first time. Meeting Ronan before they become more to each other. She meets her uncle who is also a priest and her grandfather who is Alpha or a large pack in Ireland. He lives next door now to Grazi and her grandmother Noona. He's there to watch over her training and to begin her training with him. There was a demon appeared in the form of windego. Grazi gets to meet the enemy all the wolves are fighting that are demons and witches. One now to book 2 HUNTERS MOON.
Wolf Moon is an exciting yet unnerving legend of evil witches, deadly demons, and werewolf protectors that will stimulate your senses and leave your heart racing.

Maria Grazi Kelly is in the 10th grade at a Catholic school. Her parents passed away when she was just three and her grandmother has raised her as her own. Grazi, a nickname most people refer to her by, leads a fairly typical teenage life. But, things are about to change. One day she's struggling to quietly get through high school and the next day she has the attention of Sebastian, the cutest most popular boy in the school. As if that whole thing isn't confusing enough, her long lost uncle appears and reveals a secret that's been kept from her, her entire life. Maria Grazi Kelly is a werewolf! Her uncle reveals the importance of embracing her change and her role to defeat evil. A young werewolf, named Ronan, travels from Ireland to help Grazi train for the upcoming battle. Grazi begins to come to terms with her transformation, but the startling truth behind her parents' deaths and the recent brutal murders in the area are more than she can handle. What else are those closest to her hiding?

Wolf Moon is well worth the read. I was drawn to Maria and the strife between her snobby cousin and aunt (and ultimately relieved when Maria's grandmother finally puts them in their place) as we have all faced these types of people at one time or another. I think creating Maria as a down to earth teen with similar high school problems like many of those who will read this story is very effective. Being able to identify with Maria keeps readers from being shocked by her transformation and instead leaves them pulling for her gain control and battle to victory. The vivid detail and well organized plot make Wolf Moon an enjoyable and unforgettable read.

I highly recommend picking up a copy.
This was an amazing little story about wolves and demonic beings. And magic. Don't forget that. In a world of magic and mayhem, all things are made possible. And who could possibly understand that better than Maria "Grazi" Kelly?

Orphaned at a young age, Grazi has always been the "lone wolf" of her community. She has Nonna to care for her, and she lives among the family of her family. Yet she has never truly belonged with anyone, maybe not even fully with Nonna who took her in at her very worst. Her family-situations becomes increasingly more complex when her father's family shows up out of no where, changing her life forever. Could things get any worse?

Now it is up to Grazi to train to fight the forces of evil, as a creature sanctioned by God for the very purpose of serving Him and His creations. Grazi might have always been different, but the forces at work around her are far beyond her wildest imaginings. She can only hope that when the time comes, she will be strong enough to lead the battle against evil and restore goodness to the world.

I liked this little story. It was no novella, but it was not the full-blown novel that I was expecting either. It always amazes me when good authors can fit so much story into such a short number of pages. The plot advanced quite nicely and was paced at a manageable rate. Very well done.

The only issue I had were the spattering of grammatical errors throughout the book, but nothing too severe as to detract from my enjoyment and the story itself. All-in-all, I would definitely recommend this to this with a fancy for the paranormal and a respect/admiration for the Catholic Faith, as this book is heavy on Catholic practices.
